YOUR SOURCE FOR EVERYTHING BASEBALL IN LADYSMITH AND THE SURROUNDING AREA

Over the past 54 years LBA has offered sporting opportunities to the youth of Ladysmith and district, in fact many of our citizens talk fondly of their days in ball. Every organization must continue to evolve to meet the changing needs of their members. It is to this evolution that the Board of Directors has introduced changes in recent years. These changes include the Incorporation of the Society; this insures the continuity of LBA, the addition of policies more reflective of today’s standards, while maintaining our core values and the addition of an online registration system to simplify administrative functions. Additional changes will be implemented over the coming year and will be found on our web site.

Baseball is a team sport, it is also a family sport. LBA is a volunteer based, not for profit society and as such requires numerous people in many support positions for the coming ball season to be successful. Each team requires a head coach, and ideally two assistant coaches, a team manager, and two scorekeepers. Each home game require concession workers and field prep. personnel. Stepping forward to assist with these positions also reinforces the values of community service in your children and help your child and their teammates have the best experience possible. As volunteers, we are all paid by their accomplishments and triumphs. LBA is committed to provide guidance, training and support for all positions. Again please join our team, “no volunteer will go to waste”.
